Destination
1st discuss this with your future husband/wife! What do you both want?
A huge chill out – after all the Wedding planning and partying!… An Adventure… Family Friendly… Trip of a lifetime…
Where will you go? Where is your dream destination? It could be the hike along the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, relaxing in the crystal clear waters of Bora bora or feeling the zen of Bali.
You may not want the same thing but I’m sure a compromise can be made in that you can both get a bit of what you want.
Better the devil you know...
Chat to people who have been where your wanting to go. Friends, family, how about travel bloggers reach out and ask, these guys are so experienced, really lovely and happy to help. I’ve found instagram is a great platform for interacting with bloggers. This will be so useful to help you know which places to visit, places to eat and places to avoid. Always great to get 1st hand experience especially if it’s somewhere you’ve never visited.

Politeness is the absolute key here. Mention it’s your honeymoon at the airport wear your veil if you must. Ask if they have upgrades available on the flights. Call the hotel in advance and explain its your honeymoon and ask them when you arrive too! If there are special rooms available, you never know!
Budget (Sigh)
You do need to look at your budget and work within it. Quite often with already having your own home etc we can ask, instead of wedding gifts, for currency to the country you are visiting or money towards making your honeymoon a precious memory. There are some amazing deals to be had out there it’s so worth searching for them to get to your dream destination.
