Grey Day Made Joyful!

Each meeting with this pair was a lovely insight into their priorities, family & fun, as well as a lovely chunk of good crack! It was such a pleasure to hear about their backgrounds, achievements and plans for the future as well as their fab wedding ideas. I mainly focused on the flow of the day, getting that nailed to help Vicki especially, and keeping Matt calm and happily taking it all in. I feel they got the best of the weekend and all the guests had a right good time! So so pleased for them!

The Brief:

Located in Ireland, this lovely couple had a distance to travel to get anything checked over before booking. They reached out to Annabel as a local professional with all the right suppliers to recommend and experienced level of insight on how to make the day as easy as possible. They were very organised and had some glorious ideas but having a sounding board was worthwhile while juggling wedding planning with busy lives. Each meeting was a full run through to check progress, issues and queries. They had brilliant ideas and the concept was a shared vision from Bride and Groom. They made the most of the site and filled the day with plenty of moments to cherish.

Testimonial:

Why did you hunt for a Coordinator? When we started to plan out our wedding, Vicki was keen to have a wedding planner. We both work full time, and Vicki has chronic fatigue, so we felt that getting a planner to help us would make the whole process more enjoyable and less time consuming.

How did you find Annabel? Vicki found Annabel online.

What made you choose Annabel for your wedding? Vicki was impressed by Annabel's website.

What was the most difficult part of planning a wedding? I think that depends on which of us you ask. Vicki was more on details and decor, I handled suppliers, payments, etc. If you focus on one thing at a time, it's not too bad, but it is very easy to juggle too many things at once. I found the most difficult part was telling yourself that you still had loads to do. Prioritising and focusing is key. Annabel was able to help us with this a lot in our regular catch ups.

What are your key memories from the day? It's hard not to say 'everything', but apart from the obvious, I loved how well everything came together on the day. It all ran so well and surpassed my expectations.

Would you change anything? Nothing at all. Not a single thing.

How was having Annabel there throughout the event? It was brilliant. For me, seeing how calm and in control she was put me at ease. Thanks to Annabel, I was able to 'let go' and enjoy the day.

What advice would you give others planning a DIY style wedding? Having a wedding planner makes everything a lot more structured, it will give you a head start in every area. There are lots of reasons why having a planner helps, but I'll give two good examples. When our original band dropped out, I was able to go to Annabel's recommended supplier list, and find a replacement very quickly. Annabel has put a lot into her recommended supplier list, so I know it can be trusted.

Vicki asked Annabel to help her with decor selection and style (as an extra), as she was finding the task a bit daunting. Annabel was able to take Vicki's ideas and build a base decor, which Vicki was very happy with. This saved her a lot of effort, and Vicki then had one less task to take on.

Would you recommend Annabel? I would highly recommend Annabel. Our wedding came together so well, without any issues. Having Annabel on board saved us a lot of time and stress.

Thanks Velvet Cow for taking these beautiful pics…
